Beyond the Veil of Separation

Annaghdown Pier, by Anna King

Reeds of Light

A glimmering iridescent reed bed
that refracts light through the misty morning dew
is an invitation
to consider the multiple layers of mystery hidden beneath the veil:
What lies beneath,
behind,
within;
this is my enquiry!

Link to New Work - Exploring Grief

I am passionate about the transformative potential of contemplative art practices, and throughout 2025 I aim to develop a body of work that will enable local communities to discover unique ways to improve health and well-being through art.

Over the coming months I will be sharing poetic prose, photography and videos exploring a new series of contemplative-art practices titled: ‘Beyond the Veil of Separation’. This work will serve as a prelude to an immersive in-person contemplative-art installation of visual art, sculpture (in collaboration with other artists), soundscapes, meditation audios with visualisation prompts, and living-spaces curated from natural materials.

By offering audiences a multi-sensory journey of self-reflection and introspection, I aim to create spaces that transcend the boundaries of traditional art exhibitions, by fostering profound moments of connection and contemplation.
