DAWN, River Cong. This work was preselected for the 2026 Royal Hibernian Academy of Arts 196th RHA Annual Exhibition.

LifeWays is an ongoing photographic and poetic enquiry into landscape and memory.

This series is rooted in close observation of, and connection with, River Cong.

Returning repeatedly to the same stretch of water, I attend to subtle shifts in light, season and surface. The images focus on reflection; the river as a moving mirror in which trees and sky are refracted through movement, texture and colour.

Moving through the landscape, I am drawn to transitional moments when forms loosen, boundaries soften, and reflection begins to shift between surface and depth.

Reflection becomes both image and interruption.

Through sustained practice, subtle variations begin to unfold across the images, and landscape, perception and recollection become layered within the photographic frame.

CURRENT, River Cong.

A shifting place of submerged form, reflection and flow.
